DEMAND (branded DMND) is a Bitcoin mining pool built around Stratum V2 Job Declaration. Operator positioning is that miners construct their own block templates rather than accepting a pool-built template; the homepage tagline is "You build the block. Not the pool."[1]
Job Declaration and block 955318
On 26 June 2026 DMND published that it had mined the first known Bitcoin mainnet block produced using Stratum V2 Job Declaration: block 955318, mined for GoMining, who built and declared their own template through the pool.[2][1] The block is public on-chain (mempool.space link in the operator post).
SLICE payouts
DMND's payout system is called SLICE. Operator docs describe splitting each block reward two ways: the subsidy by hashrate (PPLNS-style), and fees by the value of the miner-built template, with short time-boxed slices inside the lookback window. The design is framed as lower variance than plain PPLNS for fee attribution and cheaper than FPPS insurance overhead while remaining compatible with Job Declaration.[3] Rootstock (rBTC) merge-mining is documented as an optional earn path when the miner builds the coinbase.[1]
Security posture
As of September 2026, the operator site claimed SOC 2 Type 2 auditing by A-lign with continuous monitoring via Vanta and a public Trust Center.[1]
