KanoPool is a Bitcoin mining pool at kano.is. It launched on 20 September 2014.[1] Blocks historically carried the coinbase signature "Kano". The operator (kano) is the public maintainer of cgminer / ckpool-lineage software referenced in pool Help copy.[2]

Reward methods and fees

As of September 2026, KanoPool's payout documentation listed:

  • PPLNS — Pay Per Last N Shares with an N window of 3 days
  • Solo — solo mining on the same operator infrastructure

The pool fee is 0.5% of the total reward. Transaction fees are included in the miner reward. Blocks must reach +101 confirmations and be flagged Matured before rewards are distributed; the reward transaction is created manually before maturity and sent automatically about a minute after maturity.[3]

Servers

Miner setup copy points new connections at West-USA Stratum by default, for example:

stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333

Worker names follow username.worker (or underscore). The password field in the miner is unused (commonly x). Additional regional nodes are documented on the Help → Support miner-setup page. The pool starts new miners around difficulty 8190 and adjusts per-instance difficulty toward roughly 18 shares per minute.[2]

Operator guidance warns against mining over Tor, against unofficial firmware, and against pointing CPU/GPU/nerdminers or rental hashrate at the PPLNS pool (rentals are described as acceptable on Solo).[2]

Support

Support is directed to a Discord invite listed on the site, with Help pages covering payouts, solo mining, workers, and luck statistics.[2]
