Products
While operating, Coinsetter offered market and limit orders for bitcoin trading. Bitcoin deposits were credited after three confirmations with no deposit fee. USD funding and withdrawals used international SEPA and SWIFT wires. Trading fees on both sides of each fill scaled with trailing 30-day volume from 0.25% down to 0.1%. Account security options included Google Authenticator and LaunchKey two-factor authentication. APIs included FIX 4.4, WebSocket, and REST/JSON interfaces.
Coinsetter had previously acquired Canadian exchange CaVirtEx.[1]
Acquisition by Kraken
On 19 January 2016 Kraken announced that it was acquiring Coinsetter and Cavirtex, that both brands would be absorbed, and that client accounts of both exchanges would transfer automatically to Kraken on 26 January 2016. After the transfer, account holders were to log in at kraken.com.[1][2]
