Koinim was a Turkish bitcoin wallet and exchange. Earlier marketing described it as the first bitcoin exchange platform in Turkey and offered an online wallet for holding balances, addresses, and send/receive operations without requiring deep prior Bitcoin knowledge.[1]

Closure

An operator status incident titled Koinim Faaliyetlerini Durdurmuştur, dated 11 November 2024 at 01:30 GMT+3, states that the platform decided to stop its activities in line with Law 7518 (amendments to the Capital Markets Law), published in the Resmi Gazete on 2 July 2024, and Capital Markets Board (SPK) bulletin 2024/38 dated 8 August 2024. The status text directs users to the support site for requests.[2]

A Koinim Destek article updated 10 November 2024 repeats the Law 7518 / SPK 2024/38 basis and lists operational consequences: new memberships stopped; buy/sell stopped (open orders to be cancelled); crypto-asset and Turkish lira deposits stopped; crypto-asset and Turkish lira withdrawals remain open, with users who still hold balances asked to submit withdrawal requests promptly.[3]
