Insight

Insight is an open-source Bitcoin blockchain explorer with REST and websocket APIs for applications that need richer chain queries than bitcoind RPC alone. It has been developed and documented by BitPay in the Bitcore stack.

Current status

BitPay continues to document and host Insight at https://bitpay.com/insight/ . In the current Bitcore monorepo, the Insight UI lives under packages/insight; the package version was 10.0.11 as of September 2026. Earlier standalone GitHub repositories bitpay/insight and bitpay/insight-api carry maintainer notices that those projects have been replaced by Bitcore Node / the Bitcore monorepo line.
