It supplies merchant tools that request, detect, assign, document, and reconcile bitcoin payments for online shops, websites, and point-of-sale use.[1][2]

Coinsnap’s Terms of Service identify the operator as Onlineshop24 DOO, Ljubimira Ivkovića Suče 75, 11453 Sopot (Dučina), Serbia, with tax ID (PIB) 111945856. In 2015 a Netherlands-based “Coinsnap B.V.” payment processor claimed affiliation with European finance-institution licence holders. Current operator materials do not present Coinsnap as a bank, payment institution, cryptocurrency exchange, broker, custodian, or MiCAR-authorised crypto-asset service provider.[1]
Payment model
The Terms describe Coinsnap as a software and technology provider. In the standard self-custodial model, the merchant requests payment through Coinsnap software, the payer authorises a bitcoin or Lightning transaction from the payer’s own wallet, and funds move on the Bitcoin or Lightning network directly to a merchant-selected wallet destination. Coinsnap states that it does not become a party to the underlying commercial sale between merchant and payer. A Coinsnap Wallet product is described as self-custodial wallet software.[1]
