Bull Bitcoin is a bitcoin-only, non-custodial exchange and OTC desk founded by Francis Pouliot. The Canadian entity is associated with Satoshi Portal Inc. and advertises FINTRAC registration; the company markets buy, sell, spend, and remittance flows in which customers retain self-custody of bitcoin rather than leaving balances on a custodial trading book.[1][2]

History

Bull Bitcoin grew out of the Canadian bitcoin services community around Pouliot and Satoshi Portal. The company emphasises bitcoin-only products, Interac and other local funding rails in Canada, and expansion into additional countries including Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, Colombia, and Europe per company announcements.[1]

On 28 April 2025 Bull Bitcoin migrated users to a rebuilt platform at app.bullbitcoin.com. The company said accounts and data transferred automatically and that existing services remained available on faster KYC, Interac funding, Lightning withdrawals, and related infrastructure after a multi-year rewrite.[3]

European MiCA licence

As of 1 July 2026, Bull Bitcoin states that it holds a MiCA crypto-asset service provider licence obtained in France through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), publicly listed on the AMF CASP register, with the European entity referenced in company materials as LEONOD SARL. Under MiCA passporting, the firm describes serving individuals and corporations across EU/EEA states under that single licence. Company posts frame 1 July 2026 as the end of the MiCA transitional period for CASPs.[2][4]

DAC8 petition

Bull Bitcoin has filed a legal challenge before France’s Conseil d’État seeking to annul Decree No. 2025-1276 transposing the EU DAC8 crypto reporting directive into French law, and published dac8.com as an informational resource. That action is an ongoing petition / litigation, not a final court annulment.[4]

Services

Product pages describe non-custodial exchange and OTC desk services, bill-pay / spend rails, VIP and prime offerings, and self-custody support. Funding and payout methods vary by country (for example Interac in Canada; local partners elsewhere).[1][3]
