Braiins is a bitcoin mining company best known for Braiins OS (alternative miner firmware), Braiins Pool (the pool brand formerly called Slush Pool), and related fleet tools such as Braiins Manager, Toolbox and Proxy.[1]
History
According to Braiins, Jan Čapek and Pavel Moravec started Braiins in 2011 as an embedded-software company after IT work in banking and embedded systems. They later took majority control of Marek "Slush" Palatinus's mining pool project in 2013, while Slush went on to SatoshiLabs / Trezor.[1]
The pool began as Bitcoin.cz Mining, also called Bitcoin Pooled Mining (announced November 2010), was renamed Slush Pool in 2016, and was renamed Braiins Pool in September 2022 after a 21 July 2022 Braiins announcement.[1][2]
Products
Braiins developed Braiins OS as alternative Antminer firmware. In 2018 the company publicly verified overt AsicBoost on Bitmain Antminer S9 hardware and published work connected to BIP 310 (version rolling in stratum).[1]
