ASIC hardware

On April 4th, 2012, the owner of DeepBit announced plans for a custom Bitcoin mining ASIC.[2]. Although details were supposed to be made available in the first issue of Bitcoin Magazine no such information surfaced therein or in subsequent issues.[3] On July 12th, 2012, cancellation of the project was mentioned, citing a negative financial outlook.[4]
