I'm representing a small artist organization (Ore.e Refineries) working to solve sustainable design issues. The services we offer may be found here and we accept bitcoins as means of payment. Besides services we also offer some unique art objects... Full list of items in stock here. My personal artist portfolio is being reworked.

I became interested in bits because as a kid I used to collect coins! I still have a large collection featuring some rarities from Byzantine times and the turning points in Finnish history. I guess I look at bitcoins in a similar fashion... They represent a turning point in history - Or at least an idea of a turning point.

The Ore.e Ref. project mentioned earlier is working to turn ideas originating in the digital world into tangible forms. I think that the bitcoin project should be developed into tangible directions too. If someone knows about such development ideas I would be interested to help. I guess the first step would be the development of a "federal reserve" kind of institution which would trade digital bitcoins into tangible coins. The amount of tangible bitcoins would match the amout of the digital ones and if users would so choose they could swap their virtual currency to that.

I think that using tangible coins would make the money more robust. Crypto-vise it is really clever already and in many way better then conventional money - But having collected coins for some 15 years I see coins as time capsules conveying information on the culture they where used in. Just think how beautiful they are. Tangible coins have properties digital ones lack, if some solution would be invented where both realms would benefit this would be great.

You may aid the project. I'll make a set of 20 coins out of silver when I can collect enough money to do it. They will be sold for 1 bitcoin each. 1A3CCq5eMnibEvV8xaKdyba892w3h82HJM
