Hodl Hodl is a non-custodial peer-to-peer bitcoin trading platform. Counterparties trade directly; each contract uses a multisignature escrow address rather than a centralized hot wallet holding customer bitcoin or fiat.[1]

Fees

Standard on-chain trading fees are 0.75% per party for ordinary registered users, or 0.5% for users who registered with a referral code or who have referred at least one active trader. Trades are also subject to a dynamic minimum trading fee tied to mempool conditions (normally not more than about US$5 equivalent under ordinary conditions), plus Bitcoin network fees on deposit and release.[2][1]

Lightning / Arkade

Offers may use on-chain bitcoin or Lightning Network (LN-BTC) paths. Lightning offers use Arkade-based virtual escrow with atomic swaps; platform materials describe a trading fee (0.75% or 0.5% with referral) plus a dynamic swap fee.[1][2]

Reputation imports

Profile imports from LocalBitcoins, Paxful, LocalMonero, and AgoraDesk are no longer available; Hodl Hodl states those platforms have shut down and it can no longer validate their identification codes. Historical reputation previously linked from those sites may remain visible on a user’s Hodl Hodl profile.[1]
