Coinut is a digital-asset business operated by Coinut Pte. Ltd. The homepage on 18 September 2026 gives the Singapore office as 1 Wallich Street, #14-01 Guoco Tower, Singapore 078881, and lists further offices under Coinut Canada Ltd. in Markham, Coinut Switzerland AG in Zug, and Coinut USA Inc. in Dover, Delaware. The same page also names New Zealand among the places it displays.[1]

The company biography on that page says Xinxi Wang founded Coinut Pte. Ltd. in 2013 while studying computer science at the National University of Singapore, and that he is chief executive and co-founder. It also says he later co-founded the Litecoin Foundation.

Retail exit

A company notice headed 30 June 2026, with a date line of 1 July 2026, is addressed to retail individual customers of Coinut Pte. Ltd. It says the notice does not apply to someone who is already an accredited investor or a corporate or institutional customer, and that those customers may ignore it.[2]

The notice says Coinut is changing its model toward institutional, corporate and accredited-investor customers, and that it will no longer provide services to retail individuals. It says Coinut has stopped opening accounts for new retail individuals. Existing retail customers, during a transition period, were limited to liquidating and withdrawing what they already held.

The transition period in the notice is 1 July 2026 through 31 August 2026. In that window the notice offered two paths. One was to apply to be treated as an accredited investor, with declarations and any documents Coinut asked for, by 31 August 2026. The other was to withdraw digital-payment-token holdings to an external wallet, or to sell them and withdraw the fiat, by the same date. Withdrawals stayed subject to the firm's review, including anti-money-laundering checks.

The notice then says that if neither path was finished by 31 August 2026, the account will be suspended and ordinary trading access will stop. It also says a customer who still holds a residual balance may contact Coinut, and that Coinut may allow restricted access only to finish a withdrawal or a sale. Remaining balances, it says, stay under the firm's custody and compliance duties until they are withdrawn or dealt with under the law.

After the transition window

On 18 September 2026, after the 31 August 2026 window in the notice, the public homepage still presented registration, a sign-up path, and copy about individual traders buying and selling major assets. It did not itself say that retail accounts had been suspended.

Licence labels

The notice does not contain a Monetary Authority of Singapore licence number. The homepage shows an affiliation badge reading "MAS MPI EXEMPTION" among other labels such as a VQF membership and MSB names.
