Joyce kim
Stellar cofounder
Joyce Kim is cofounder and executive director of Stellar. Joyce started out as an attorney at Sherman & Sterling and Wilmer Hale. She also worked pro bono at Sanctuary for Families and the Innocence Project. Joyce became CEO of Soompi in 2006 and cofounded simplehoney, a mobile commerce startup, in 2011. Before cofounding Stellar, Joyce was a VC at Freestyle Capital. She graduated from Cornell at 19, followed by graduate school at Harvard and Columbia Law School. Joyce is currently a Director’s Fellow at the MIT Media Lab.
