The Digital Commerce Advancement Organization (DCAO) is a body of professionals that recognize the significance of financial technologies that function independent of traditional economic infrastructure<ref>[]</ref>.

The founders of [[Bitcoin Magazine]] are early participants of DCAO.

The community of participants in various assemblies, including startups, Skype chat rooms, and other virtual means numbers over one hundred members. 

==History==

Starting from July, 2011 the four founders of DCAO had started collaborating and from that the DCAO was born.  The name DCAO was decided upon around December 2011.
