GDAX (Global Digital Asset Exchange) was Coinbase's professional trading brand for spot crypto markets. The GDAX name was retired in favour of Coinbase Pro. Coinbase Pro was later succeeded by Coinbase Advanced Trade.[1][2]
History
GDAX to Coinbase Pro
On 23 May 2018, Coinbase announced that GDAX was renamed Coinbase Pro. The change aligned the advanced trading product with the Coinbase brand while keeping a professional interface separate from the consumer Coinbase app.[1]
Coinbase Pro to Advanced Trade
Coinbase later introduced Advanced Trade as the successor professional interface and announced that Coinbase Pro login ended on 20 November 2023. Users were directed to Advanced Trade on the main Coinbase platform.[2]
