CampBX was a United States Bitcoin exchange operated by Bulbul Investments LLC and associated with Atlanta, Georgia. Public trading opened on 5 July 2011 after a Testnet beta period.[1]
From about 2017 many customers reported being unable to access accounts as the platform wound down. On 25 July 2018 an order to cease and desist against Bulbul Investments LLC d/b/a CampBX Trading Platform from the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance became final, citing unlicensed money transmission and sale of payment instruments.[2] Later coverage described the exchange as defunct; customer recovery disputes continued in subsequent years.[2] Any later use of the historical domain does not restore the original exchange operator.
