Bithive is a mining pool. Its aim is to provide an alternative, stable pooling option for both professional and casual miners whilst fighting the threat posed by insecure network dispersion. The service was first available for beta testing starting 14 May 2011[1], and they currently have fees set to 0.01% as a promotion for testing purposes.
Reward distribution
Bithive uses a proportional sharing, which means that you are rewarded based on your contribution to finding a block.
For example, if there were only two people in the pool both mining at 500 Mh/s, each would be rewarded approximately 25 BTC per block. If one of them was mining at 1 Gh/s, that person would receive ~33.3 bitcoins (66.6%) and the other person would receive 16.7 bitcoins, the remaining 33.3% We currently have a 0.01% fee for test purposes
