Pastecoin was announced on December 14, 2010[1]. The site was created by Amir Taaki who originally described it as, "just a weekend project."[2] The site appears to have changed hands by the end of 2010[3] and closed by July 27, 2011[4].

PasteCoin (using the same pastecoin.com domain) was announced on December 14, 2010. IT was described as a new market allowing, "professional coders, programmers and hobbyists to buy and sell code snippets in exchange for Bitcoin."[5]
