That aside, while to some extent altcoins may be themselves on-topic insofar as they are based on Bitcoin technology, *services* for these altcoins are completely unrelated to Bitcoin, and off-topic. Alt-coins are on-topic, just like they are on-topic on the bitcoin stackexchange ("on topic: a cryptocurrency or technology derived directly from Bitcoin such as Namecoin"). If you think alts are off-topic on the wiki, please show evidence to support your opinion.
StackExchange is unrelated/irrelevant. That aside, while to some extent altcoins may be themselves on-topic insofar as they are based on Bitcoin technology, *services* for these altcoins are completely unrelated to Bitcoin, and off-topic.
