Addresses - I visited this page looking for a standardised term for addresses... sometimes they are called receiving addresses, sending addresses, and others are referring to them as wallet addresses. Is there an agreed way of describing each type?

* Those different types only refer to what they're intended to be used for. A deposit address is exactly the same as a wallet address except a deposit address is intended for deposits (maybe an exchange display such an address) and a wallet address is one that's from a wallet. Addresses - I visited this page looking for a standardised term for addresses... sometimes they are called receiving addresses, sending addresses, and others are referring to them as wallet addresses. Is there an agreed way of describing each type? -Bizzy, 16/10/2017

  • Those different types only refer to what they're intended to be used for. A deposit address is exactly the same as a wallet address except a deposit address is intended for deposits (maybe an exchange display such an address) and a wallet address is one that's from a wallet. Donation addresses are intended to be used for donations. They're all just bitcoin addresses. Belcher (talk) 14:56, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
