Vitalik Buterin (Russian Language Виталик Бутерин) is a programmer & writer. He is primarily known as a co-founder of Ethereum, and as a co-founder of Bitcoin Magazine.[1] [2] He is also a New York Times Best Selling author for his book Ethereum, Decentralization and Blockchain which was picked up by Amazon Kindle on March 1, 2018.

[3] In 2014, Buterin won the World Technology Award for the co-creation and invention of Ethereum.[4]

Buterin has contributed as a developer to various open source bitcoin-related projects.[1] Some early examples are: Kryptokit, pybitcointools[5],, and btckeysplit.[6] He also contributed to DarkWallet [7], and the cryptocurrency marketplace site Egora.[3]
