:I think I briefly saw it, but didn't heed much attention to it as it appeared to be about mining hardware.  I'm not sure what the best approach here is yet, actually.  I'm not yet familiar enough with mediawiki to know what it can and cannot do.  For example, I'm making this template for the reasons stated.  However, at the same time, it would be good if every invocation of the template used the exact same information, with only a modifier for formatting.  I.e. in the case of ''Infobox hardware'', have the template only return a small box with e.g. the developer name, chip name, and a link.  I know that I could make a page for each chip which then invoke the template, and then in turn insert those pages-as-templates...but then there's no way to pass parameters, unless those in turn were again templates.  Templateception.  There must be a good example on wikipedia somewhere, but I couldn't actually find one, only notes about how to use nested templates, and cautions against creating them in the first place (Wikipedia:Avoid using meta-templates).  In any case, I do think that having things structurally organized would be good moving forward, and I'll happily accept any pointers. Are you aware of Template:Infobox hardware? It is almost completely unused, and I was wondering if we should adapt it to pull information from here somehow. Taras (talk) 18:03, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

I think I briefly saw it, but didn't heed much attention to it as it appeared to be about mining hardware. I.e. in the case of Infobox hardware, have the template only return a small box with e.g. the developer name, chip name, and a link. TheRealSteve (talk) 21:39, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
