Why is it when I try to create a sortable table on: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools it doesn't work?

I even tested it out by copying and pasting this simple example "code": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Sorting

It did not show a sortable table even with the copying and pasting of the code. Is it possible that bitcoin.it is using an older version of wiki and that's why??
