"Airdrop" refers to the act of distributing Bitcoin or altcoin tokens to addresses. This is often used to bootstrap a new altcoin

Types of airdrops

There are several types of airdrops.

  • Direct forking. 1:1 ratio. Forks Bitcoin blockchain at a specific block.
